Geospatial Integration of Primavera P6 in Engineering Project Management: A Case Study of Imarat Group in Pakistan
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research explores the integration of engineering project management data with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to enhance construction project monitoring. Focusing on the application of GIS and Primavera P6 in construction project management, the study aims to visualize the progress of spatially distributed projects through GIS integration. Using a case study of Imarat Group in Pakistan, the research extracts Primavera PMS data and connects it with GIS to visualize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a map. This innovative approach facilitates informed decision-making by presenting KPIs in a spatial context. The study contributes to academia by showcasing practical GIS implementation in construction project management as well as to the industry by providing a framework that can be adopted by project stakeholders to visualize the projects’ KPIs in a spatial context and make informed decisions to control the projects.
