Exploring Energy -efficient Architecture: Comparative Insights from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh
Main Article Content
Abstract
Some issues are of major importance in the design of architecture. Renewable sources of energy, water conservation techniques, occupant comfort, and natural illumination are of major importance. The present study made efforts to compare the development and implementation of energy-efficient design approaches among India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, analyzing respective policy frameworks and suggesting the best approach. These countries have had magnificent development in terms of sustainable architecture and reduction of environmental impact. Green building certification standards such as GRIHA in India, Pakistan Green Building Council (PGBC), and LEED have played a huge role in the development of energy-efficient design practices in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The research study comprises comparative analysis to have an increased understanding of designing practices for energy-efficient and best policies and opportunities for sharing the same knowledge across the South Asian region. The green building initiatives include things such as solar panels, rainwater collection, and reduced consumption rates in water fixtures. All these efforts need to go on with more awareness creation, stronger regulations, and greater collaboration for the advancement of sustainable development in the region. The study will improve knowledge regarding South Asian sustainable architecture through the analysis of environmental issues and the promotion of regional collaboration. It will help to build a region of sustainability and resilience with the architects, politicians, and stakeholders from the construction sector.
